First of all, a privacy policy is a document that outlines how a website gathers/collects, stores and uses personal information. It also includes information about what is collected from the user. These are important for a website to have, you can view mine at https://legal.wtdawson.info/.
Privacy policies (and terms and conditions/of service – TAC or TOS) should be easy to read, and on a simple web page.
- Put lists in bullet points.
- It makes it easier to find specific ones.
- And make sure to embolden important information, but don’t embolden every other word.
Make sure you spell things correctly, and always get a solicitor to check it over and make sure everything is in order. Punctuation and grammar is very important. If you are unsure as where to start, look up a simple privacy policy template.
