If you haven’t already, I suggest reading my last blog post about making a good privacy policy.
First of all, terms and conditions/of service (TAC/TOS) is a document that outlines who is allowed to use the product/service and how they are allowed to use it. These may not be particularly important for static websites that don’t have any user interaction. For example, a portfolio, blog, or any others like it. You can view mine at https://legal.wtdawson.info/.
Similar to a privacy policy, it should be clear, straight to the point, and easy to read.
- Put lists in bullet points.
- It makes it easier to find specific ones.
- And make sure to embolden important information, but don’t embolden every other word.
You need to make sure that you notify users when you change this (or the privacy policy), and make sure that nothing is unfair. If something is unfair, it be may no longer be legally binding. Make sure always get a solicitor to check it over and make sure everything is in order. Punctuation and grammar is very important.
Just like the privacy policy, if you are unsure as where to start, look up a simple terms and conditions/terms of service (TAC/TOS) template.
